 The Waimea Plantation Kauai is a unique, tourist class hotel located on a black sand beach just 28 miles from Lihue Airport. Relive the plantation era of old Hawaii in private cottages set amidst a 27-acre coconut grove. The location is absolutely serene and the primary activity is relaxation on this beautiful property, with its wide expanses of lawn and an abundance of tropical flora. The Waimea Plantation was voted one of Hawaii's BEST hotels in 2001 by Travel & Leisure Subscribers. The hotel was also Awarded “Best of the Coast“ Tourism Award for 2002 by Coastal Living Magazine.
For accommodations, The Waimea Plantation Kauai has well- appointed tropical cottages with period furnishings of rattan, mahogany and wicker. Originally built in the early 1900's, each vintage cottage has been historically restored and updated while maintaining the ambiance and charming simplicity representative of the era of the original plantation home.
